Thank you for your interest in a custom painting! Below is a bit about my process- please contact me via the button below if you have any more questions or would like to reserve your spot on my calendar!

How to Commission a Painting:

1. Share Your Vision with Me: You can send me a reference photo of what you'd like painted. If you don't have something specific, that's ok. We can brainstorm together!

2. Creative Collaboration: Tell me if there's a specific feeling you're after, or if you want the painting to go with a certain color palette or room in your home. We can then work together to make sure we capture your vision perfectly!

3. Choose Your Size: Pick the dimensions you would like for your painting. If you have a specific place in mind, measure and send me the dimensions. (Pricing depends on size and general prices can be found below). I can help give input if you aren't sure the best fit for your room.

4. Set Your Timeline: If you need your painting by a specific date, I will do my best to work with you on that. I usually request 8 weeks from signing the contract, but that varies according to the size of your painting and how busy the studio is at the time.

5. Secure Your Spot on My Calendar: A 50% deposit locks in your place on my studio calendar and covers all materials and initial time spent painting. (Spots are first-come, first-served, and once they're full I will have a running waitlist).

6. Give Your Approval to Begin: I will sketch a few ideas to make sure we are on the same page with the direction you want your painting to head. Once you've given your approval, I can jump in on the real thing!

7. Stay Up-to-date on Painting Progress: As your painting progresses, I will send multiple images and videos to make sure it is turning out how you envisioned. During this time, you are allowed one large edit and two smaller edits to the painting. I want to get it just right for you!

8. Give Your Approval (or don't!): Once the painting is complete, I will send a final image and video to get your approval. If you don't absolutely love the final piece, you are under no obligation to pay the remaining balance and keep the painting. If you do love it (I'm confident you will!) , I will set it aside to dry safely in my studio, and contact you for pickup/delivery/shipping when it is fully dry.

"The commissioning process was so easy! We wanted to capture a particular moment from when our boys were young. We didn't have an exact image so we provided several photos and Coleman was able to merge them all together. The result was beyond what I expected! Whenever I look at our paintings, I'm taken back to that moment and can actually feel the emotion of that day. What a gift Coleman has!" -Shana Conley

"I commissioned Coleman to paint a scene from my childhood home, a setting that is near and dear to my heart. The final product is so much better than the photo I provided. The scene looks alive. The sky is in motion, the summer breeze is seen in the cornfield, and I can feel the heat of the sun coming off the pavement. The wild abundance of my childhood summers was captured on her canvas... it transports me to a personal moment in time that I never want to forget." -Laura Staloch

"After discussing a beach commission piece with Coleman I threw her a curveball & requested she add my daughter to the scene. Even without seeing her paint human figures I was more than confident in her abilities. She kept me updated with progress along the way & even tweaked a spot I wanted changed. My painting arrived in pristine condition. It is certainly a treasure & far exceeded my dreams of capturing a sweet moment in time" - Kate Van
