We walked out through the tall dune grass swaying in the breeze, the cold salt air hitting our face and the rhythmmic sound of the North Sea coming from just over the dunes. This foggy, chilly day in Northumberland near the towering medieval Bamburgh Castle stuck firmly in my memory, and I sought to put down on paper the feeling of the Northumbrian coast.
